
Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is woefully underfunded. That’s why our preservation partners at Oregon Wild are working to pass Oregon Home Costs 2977, which would raise the state’s short-term lodging tax– likewise called the tourist tax– in order to purchase the firm that handles Oregon’s wild, native fish populations, along with other Pacific Northwest types. We, the undersigned, prompt you to support HB 2977, an expense to protect long-lasting, devoted financing to avoid the decrease of Oregon’s the majority of threatened fish, wildlife, and environments.
Oregon is an exceptionally unique location; home to a varied variety of plants, animals, and the environments that support them. Regrettably, advancement, environment modification, and other natural and human-made effects put their future at danger.
There are almost 300 types in Oregon at a raised danger of termination and 11 environments of preservation issue. To fight this– and make sure all types prosper in Oregon– we require strong, proactive financial investments in their healing.
