The majority of the ocean’s large breadth of life leaves our eyes. Consider that. We miss out on the majority of what the ocean produces: it leaves us, our grasp, our understanding, silently sinking under mankind’s radar.
Bryan Janiczek, a good friend, filmmaker, fishing pal, and guide (and at one point colleague and roomie), tried to catch it in his brand-new movie, “Where Dreams Go.” A cataloging of a common day of flyfishing in the Florida Keys transported totally through Super 8 movie. It would appear, to me, an ineffective method to tackle it. A day, a fish, a story. No noise, no re-dos, simply a live efficiency of life in front of the cam. It depends on Bryan to get it right the very first time.
