With how horrendously cold it’s been recently, I should not have actually been amazed when all my guides froze up in minutes last Saturday. I ‘d been fishing for less than 15 minutes when I needed to begin choosing ice from the guides– an olden custom for those people who fish in the dead of winter season.
Thankfully, there are some methods to alleviate guide ice. Domenick Swentosky enters into terrific information on the subject in a current post over at Troutbitten, which you can check out completely here.
