As I composed the other day, What a distinction a day makes. After a dreadful day of ruthless weather condition and challenging fishing, we were welcomed today by intense sunlight and extremely little wind. I went out with visitors Paul and Clint, directed by young Jacob, a Swede. At the 2nd area we attempted, fish began increasing intensely, and it wasn’t long prior to Paul and Clint had a double of gorgeous chars. Carefully adjusted clinical measurements validated that Paul’s was one centimeter longer.
Our luck was being reproduced by every other group, spread out around the valley. Everybody captured big wheel, and a couple of anglers captured more char than they had in the previous 2 days integrated. All under a wonderful sun, on a day that used clear views of the surrounding mountains, consisting of the volcano Hekla. I never ever envisioned we ‘d see a day like this in Iceland.
Instead Of having me simply blather on, take pleasure in these fantastic pictures of a banner day for the entire group. Back at the lodge, everybody was just buzzing with enjoyment, as they switched stories and shared images, along with sunburns. We leave the highlands tomorrow and head to Lake Þingvallavatn (Thingvallavatn) in southwestern Iceland, house to some genuinely huge brown trout, for 2 more days of fishing.
Stay tuned to for day-to-day updates on our journey.
