The river had actually shown up a little because we had actually shown up, and was colouring up rapidly due to the rain in the head waters. The big banners were ideal for getting the attention of fish that were lying deep and not noticeable. We both had a couple of chases after, broke fish off and landed another fish each prior to we reached my truck.
