Kara Anlauf-Dunn of ODFW provided a terrific discussion at last months chapter conference about how increasing stream temperature level impacts native fish and her research studies on native fish tolerance to heat throughout watersheds. It ought to be a great way to prepare yourself for accountable fishing as we go into the summertime trout season and increasing temperature levels. For a wrap-up of Kara’s discussion, please visit this link.
For our next conference, U of O alumnus and newly-minted NFS Wild Fish Fellow Alex Worth will be leading a conversation about views on hatchery vs wild fish. We would enjoy to have individuals who aren’t always fish-focused or anglers present for that conversation to get a broader variety of views, so please bring your non-fishy buddies with you!
