The St Patricks river streams north-east of Launceston, Tasmania, from its source in the mountains above Diddleum Plains. It bubbles through the temperate jungle prior to transitioning into willow-lined meadow sliding previous towns like Nunamara, prior to signing up with the North Esk River decrease down.
We sign up with Peter Broomhall, a knowledgeable fly fishing guide based in Tasmania’s north, who routinely takes customers on the St Pats, or Patties as he calls it, acquiring insight into this wonderful Tasmanian river through a regional’s eyes.
