According to an interesting post by Erin Blakemore in The Washington Post, trout that were equipped into traditionally barren lakes in Wyoming quickly progressed to make the most of their brand-new food sources.
The research study that Blakemore goes over in her post takes a look at how fierce and golden trout progressed more gill rakers after being equipped in traditionally fishless lakes, when compared to captive brood stocks in hatcheries throughout Wyoming.
What this research study reveals us is that trout– and goldens and fierce are frequently viewed as the most conscious ecological modifications– are more versatile animals than we possibly provide credit for.
