With the brand-new academic year comes the return of among the Watershed Council’s the majority of valued programs: Salmon See. Throughout the months of September and November, trainees from throughout Lane County take part in the Salmon Watch Program to witness the magic of the salmon life process. Volunteers lead 4 stream-side finding out stations on the subjects of water quality, riparian ecology, salmon biology, and macroinvertebrates. It is an experience that has a long lasting favorable influence on trainees and their relationship with the natural world.
If you are somebody who has a love for the environment and wish to assist to grow that enthusiasm in the next generation, please join us for a Salmon Watch volunteer training session!
Brand-new volunteers are needed to participate in one or both training sessions before registering to support journeys. Training sessions will be hung on the following dates:
