The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) is continuing with a questionable strategy to stock and study aClass A wild trout water Critics declare the workout is being driven less by science than by public opinion, with unpleasant ramifications for other treasured streams. At its July conference, the company’s board authorized, 7-2, a notification of rulemaking to equip rainbow trout in a three-mile stretch of Freeman Run in Potter County and to keep an eye on influence on wild brown trout for 5 years, starting next spring … Challengers of the strategy state the commission currently has sufficient proof to understand that including rainbow trout will deteriorate the self-reliant fishery.
