Invested a day fly fishing with Scott from PA WOODS N WATER. We fished a stunning PA freestone stream. It was over double the circulation from current rains, which pressed the fish to the softer edges and water breaks. Had excellent luck and ended the day with a 21 inch gorgeous brown trout.
The flies of the day were a size 14 Blowtorch and a size 14 Stone Pony (a little golden stonefly pattern of mine).
This video will offer you some suggestions to fish high water. Do not avoid it … the fish are still biting. Something to remember is they will vacate their regular locations when the water increases.
