Join us Saturday, July 16th, as Native Fish Society hosts our very first yearly Umpqua Bass Celebration! This occasion, hosted on the mainstem Umpqua River, will assist get rid of Smallmouth Bass from the river and bring awareness to the issues this intrusive fish types triggers for native fish and the Umpqua River.

Start fishing anytime that feels right to you throughout the day on Saturday July 16th. NFS personnel and regional anglers will be readily available at 9:00 am at the Umpqua Riverside recreational vehicle park boat ramp to assist arrange groups or assist provide some guidelines if essential.
Bring yourself and your catch to the Celebration at 3pm for appetisers and drinks. NFS personnel and volunteers will be readily available to assist and teach fish cleansing and processing. You can either contribute your catch to the meal or take it house in vacuum loaded bags for later on.
At 4pm, NFS personnel and River Stewards will provide a brief background on how the bass made their method into the Umpqua River System and where we as supporters and stewards can assist the Umpqua and your own homewaters.
