Sign Up With the Caddis Fly Fishing Store and McKenzie River Trust for a volunteer planting task on the middle McKenzie River! This task will assist to bring back native plant neighborhoods in the 85-acre Finn Rock Reach repair task website. Finished in summertime of 2021, this repair task assisted to enhance spawning and rearing environment in the McKenzie River for native fish types consisting of Spring Chinook Salmon and Bull Trout. Volunteers will work along with repair professionals from the trust to plant a range of native plant types. The Finn Rock Reach repair location is just available by foot so bring your boots and waders! Work will be reasonably exhausting with activities consisting of wading, strolling on unequal ground, and flexing over for extended amount of times.
Join us from 9:30 am-12pm on Saturday, January 29th and assist to look after this unique river in our yard! Pizza lunch will be offered all individuals to delight in after the task.
Do Not have your own waders? No issue! Contact Elizabeth Goward at elizabeth@mckenzieriver.org with your size details and we can probably get you equipped in waders and boots, kindly contributed to the Trust by Caddis Fly Angling store in assistance of neighborhood preservation efforts.
