An odd phenomenon just recently took place on Providence Atoll in the Seychelles in November 2022. This fall, Providence and numerous other atolls experienced a substantial increase of baitfish around the atoll and on the flats. These bait balls produced a respected food source for the huge trevally and other types that populate this remote atoll that disturbed the nature of motion on the flats. It likewise produced great fishing chances and bodes well for the future of the fish that live there as they load on weight for the coming seasons.
