We do not hear much about fly fishing in Japan, however the stunning rivers of Hokkaido– the nation’s northern most big island– hold some impressive fish, consisting of rainbow and brown trout. However for me the magic would remain in capturing the more unique types, such as white-spotted char, cherry salmon, and Sakhalin taimen.
