The whole sport of fly fishing is based upon concerns: Where are the trout holding? What bugs are hatching? What phase are the trout consuming? And on and on. Composing in Hatch Publication, Todd Tanner attempts to determine the most crucial concern any angler can ask:
” What fly should I fish this night?” “What’s your preferred rod?” “Can you describe leaders and tippets?” “Why do I keep getting wind knots?” “Do you still direct or have you provided it up?” “Do I require to understand the taxonomic names for all these bugs?” “What’s much better, a blood knot or cosmetic surgeon’s knot?” “Can you assist me with my double haul?” … I might go on, and on, and on. There’s one important concern, however, that seldom turns up. It’s extremely crucial, however– and certainly worth asking yourself.
